To that end, Cogent Power is playing a leading role in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and waste in general. We also make internal waste reductions one of our greatest priorities. We are extremely proud of our highly energy efficient transformer cores that serve to reduce overall energy consumption and energy loss.

We are committed to taking a strong leadership role when it comes to minimizing waste in all aspects of our business. We currently recycle 99.99% of our raw materials, our efficient manufacturing processes are designed with waste reduction in mind  and our customized packaging programs actually reduce waste at our customers' sites. The elimination of heavier steel bands in our slit steel coils have also resulted in reduced waste, unpacking time, and shipping costs. In fact, we often play a central role in assisting our customers in the pursuit of TP1/CS802 compliance which is all about the efficient use of silicon steel in transformers.!
